It all started when Melina’s best friend faced the sudden and heart-wrenching reality of homelessness. Overwhelmed by shame and silence, her friend’s story spoke volumes of strength and resilience in the face of adversity. Melina saw an opportunity to harness this strength and use it to make a difference in the lives of others.
And thus, Change-Up was born – a movement driven by people united in making a change for individuals facing hardships and challenging circumstances. Our mission is about offering support, empathy, and a genuine commitment to understanding the unique needs and dreams of each person we serve.
Change-Up is a community of kindred spirits, volunteers who selflessly dedicate their time to extend a helping hand. From providing nourishing meals and clothing to offering a comforting cup of tea and a heartfelt chat, our focus is on creating change for people on a personal level.
Our transformative journey starts with our Makeover project, where we invite guests in need to share their stories. Through the lens, we capture their essence, hopes, and dreams, unveiling the hidden aspirations that lay within.
